Features

Design

  • THE MONSTER DESIGN: The iconic, timeless styling of the Monster enters a new era with an evolved, contemporary design. Retaining the spirit of 1993, the engine remains the undisputed star, always center stage. Added to this is the unmistakable bison-back tank, the circular headlight recessed into the shoulders and the clean, streamlined tail. All in a more modern, sporty and technological guise, designed to enhance the personality of the bike.
  • THE DETAILS: The modern and sophisticated design is simple and highlights the distinctive traits of the Monster. While the front view of the bike is dominated by the iconic, circular full LED headlight, the rear end comprises a short but curvy tailpiece complete with two pained side panels inspired by the Panigale V4. In the center, the unmistakable Monster tank, curved and muscular. The Monster Plus version comes complete with top fairing and passenger seat cover.

Electronics

  • RIDING PLEASURE AND A FEELING OF CONTROL: Standard equipment includes Cornering ABS, Traction Control and Wheelie Control, all of which can be adjusted according to different levels of intervention. The motorcycle’s sports attitude is further accentuated with Launch Control, which ensures lightning starts. This electronic equipment guarantees equally high levels of performance and active safety. Like all latest generation Ducati bikes, the Monster exploits Ride-by-Wire technology in its dynamic control systems, with Riding Modes that modify the character of the motorcycle, adapting it to the road conditions and/or the rider’s level of ability.
  • DUCATI TRACTION CONTROL: The Traction Control system acts as a smart “filter” between the accelerator and rear tire. It lets the rider select one of eight different intervention levels. Each of the three Riding Modes has default DTC levels but these can be personalized to suit individual riding styles and road conditions, just like other electronic riding aids.
  • LAUNCH CONTROL: The Monster is equipped with a Launch Control system that allows for extremely effective starts. Once activated, the system autonomously manages the engine (regardless of how much the throttle is open) so that the rider need only manage the clutch when moving off. A drag race-proof mode that ensures the best possible acceleration.
  • DUCATI WHEELIE CONTROL: Wheelie Control allows the motorcycle to accelerate to the max while eliminating, or limiting, any front wheel lift. This heightens riding safety but also ensures the best possible acceleration performance. Furthermore, Wheelie Control can be adjusted independently from other control systems.
  • DUCATI QUICK SHIFT (DQS) UP/DOWN: Available as standard on the Monster, the Ducati Quick Shift (DQS) up/down, a race-derived electronic system, lets riders shift gear without using the clutch. This system not only boosts the enjoyment of sports riding but also lends a welcome hand in city traffic or on winding roads requiring frequent gear changes.
  • COLOR TFT INSTRUMENTATION: The Monster instrument panel features a 4.3” color TFT display. Its graphics are inspired by those of the Panigale V4 and offer useful onboard information. In the center of the screen, the rev counter and currently selected gear are on prominent display, along with other data such as the air temperature and fuel level.
  • LIGHTS AND TURN SIGNALS: The full LED headlight, with its modern lines and technological look, is equipped with the daytime running light system that guarantees excellent visibility, both close-up and from afar. The dynamic LED turn signals are always clearly visible and come complete with an auto-off function.

Vehicle

  • AN INTUITIVE, EASY TO HANDLE BIKE: The Monster makes lightness one of its strengths. Each component is designed to weigh as little as possible, from the aluminum Front Frame, inspired by the Panigale V4, to the tail section that is directly connected to the engine. The result is an agile and compact bike, ideal for daily use and pure enjoyment.
  • FRONT FRAME: The Monster brings the engine back to center stage. Linked to a front frame ideally derived from the one on the Panigale V4, the engine is made of aluminum and is 9.9 lb lighter than the 821 model.
  • HYDRAULIC CLUTCH: The clutch equipping the Monster is wet anti-patter type and thanks to its particular self-servo system can guarantee smooth feedback. Thanks to the hydraulic control results extremely “light” to pull (-20% effort) and perfect in modulating the attack to suit riders of all levels and spirits.
  • SEAT HEIGHT: The height from the ground of the seat of the Monster is 32 inches. This, combined with the narrow sides of the bike, allows the rider to put their feet on the ground very easily. A seat is available as an accessory that reduces the height from the ground to 31.5 inches, while still maintaining good padding. A kit of springs for the suspension can be purchased which lowers the vehicle by reducing the seat height to 30.5 inches from the ground.
  • SLEEK TAIL: The sleek tail - made with modern GFRP (Glass Fiber Reinforced Polymer) technology - drops 4.2 lb.
